Dewar’s has revealed a 19-year-old whisky as a part of its partnership with the US Golf Affiliation

In March this 12 months, Bacardi-owned Dewar’s agreed a multi-year partnership with the US Golf Affiliation (USGA).

Dewar’s will turn out to be the official blended Scotch whisky of the US Open Championship golf event, beginning with the 121st competitors this 12 months.

The US Open Championship is because of be held from 14-20 June 2021 at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, California.

To mark the beginning of the Open subsequent week, Dewar’s has launched The Champions Version, a 19-year-old bottling completed in American ex-Bourbon casks.

Brian Cox, vice-president of Dewar’s North America, stated: “Designed for golf and whisky aficionados alike, this first-of-its-kind mix is impressed by our thrilling partnership with the US Open, in addition to our sporting legacy and dedication to supporting ‘champions’ in all endeavours.”

Created by Dewar’s grasp blender Stephanie Macleod, the expression blends double-aged grain and single malt whiskies. The ensuing liquid provides notes of honey, toffee, vanilla and ripe cherries.

It is available in a silver bottle design to replicate the US Open trophy. A part of the proceeds from the sale of the bottle might be given to the USGA Basis.

The Scotch model will launch annual restricted version merchandise to mark the US Open till 2023.

Dewar’s The Champions Version is on the market now in ‘extraordinarily restricted portions’ from choose US wine and spirit retailers or on-line on Reserve Bar till 20 June. It’s priced at RRP US$79.99 per 750ml.
