Is it just me, or does anyone else find it impossibly hard to resist a good-looking kitchen appliance? Besides adding functionality to daily cooking routines, a pretty appliance brings so much joy and charm to the kitchen. So when I wrote about Beautiful, Drew Barrymore’s new cookware collection designed exclusively for Walmart, you bet I was personally eyeing up all those retro-chic pieces for myself. But the colorful collection — which includes small appliances, tools, cookware, and utensils — turned out to be so popular that it sold out … twice! I finally got my hands on their most popular piece: the touchscreen Air Fryer Toaster Oven, which I couldn’t wait to give a prime spot in my kitchen. It’s been three weeks since I’ve been using the sage green appliance, and here are three reasons why absolutely I love it.
1. It’s quite a looker.
Designed in collaboration with Made By Gather, the collection is available in four gorgeous colors: sage, oyster grey, white icing, and black sesame. I chose sage because, well, just look at how pretty is! Subtle and inviting, the components are also designed with extra attention to detail. Case in point: the gold handle, touchscreen panel, rounded edges, and beautiful knob. Even the accessories included are matte silver to match the exterior matte finish.
2. It’s incredibly easy to use.
While the design is retro-inspired, there’s absolutely nothing outdated about how this appliance works. The touchscreen panel feels like I’m typing on my smartphone, and the 11 preset functions make it super easy to use. Whether you want to toast, broil, bake, warm, air fry, slow cook, or even dehydrate, you simply pick a function, pop your items in, and that’s it. But don’t worry — there’s also an option for customizing cooking times and temperatures when needed. I also love that the oven has an oversized clear glass window that makes it easy to keep an eye on your bakes.
3. It does its jobs really, really well.
So far I have used my air fryer toaster oven to prep toast, bake a casserole, reheat leftovers, and even air fry pre-packaged chicken nuggets. Everything turned out well with very minimal effort required on my end. I simply went with the preset options and let the pretty appliance do its thing. I should also mention that it was super quiet while in action, which is a major pro if you have an open-plan concept (or super-small apartment) where your kitchen is literally in your living area. And although the design is relatively compact, it still fits a 12-inch pizza or a whole chicken.
If you’re looking for an air fryer toaster oven (or a variety of other tools and appliances) that looks incredibly stylish in your kitchen while also delivering superior performance, Drew’s Beautiful line is absolutely worth considering. Pieces from the collection would also make delightful gifts for housewarmings, engagements, birthdays, and all sorts of occasions. Personally, I’m considering ordering another air fryer toaster oven to send to my mom for Mother’s Day. The only hitch? I hope it’s still in stock by the time I buy it.
