The 10 Best Frozen Dinners at Trader Joe’s, According to One of Our Favorite Instagram Follows

Products You May Like

Arguably the best aisle in all of Trader Joe’s is the frozen aisle. Not only does the store have a massive selection of options to satisfy whatever craving you might be having at the moment, but they’re also pretty much all winners — dinner winners, that is! TJ’s has so many great finds for a quick, nearly instant dinner. Trust me: I have an Instagram account dedicated to all things Trader Joe’s (@BlackGirlsInTraderJoes), so I know!

Whenever I make a trip (which is often), I make sure to stock up on all my favorite frozen finds, which make dinnertime a breeze. (Seriously, all you have to do is heat and eat them.) Bundle up, because you’re coming with me on a trip down the virtual freezer aisle.

Here are my top 10 picks for the best frozen dinner finds at Trader Joe’s.

1. Mandarin Orange Chicken, $4.99 for 1 pound

I always pair this glorious bag of sauce-coated chicken pieces with the frozen vegetable fried rice. (I know, I know, that’s two separate picks, but I always shop for them as a pair whenever I’m in the mood for an easy and delicious dinner.) Here’s a tip: Making this chicken in the air fryer is the ultimate life hack.

2. Breaded Fried Ravioli, $3.99 for 16 ounces

This St. Louis favorite is new to the TJ’s frozen section. It also works when served as an appetizer and paired with marinara sauce. If you want a little kick, pair it with the spicy Arrabiata sauce for dipping!

3. Chicken Tikka Masala, $3.99 for 8.5 ounces

I love this robust tomato curry, which smothers the chicken atop a cumin basmati rice. When I want to take it to another level I wrap the contents into a tortilla along with some veggies.

4. Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe, $3.99 for 16 ounces

Joe really took his time with this one … but it was worth the wait. These par-cooked pasta nests are frozen separately from the pepper and cheese sauce, but everything comes together in minutes when you sauté it. Honestly, it tastes homemade.

5. Taste au Brie et aux Tomatoes Flatbread, $3.99 for 10 ounces

Out of all the frozen “pizzas” that TJ’s has to choose from, I love this simple-yet-fancy version. The crispy crust is topped with melted Brie and tomatoes and it’s pretty much all I need.

6. Gnocchi al Gorgonzola, $3.99 for 16 ounces

If there’s one thing Trader Joe’s does well, it’s gnocchi. This super-cheesy version doesn’t get the love it deserves, so I’m giving it a shoutout. I love adding a bag to the Organic Creamy Tomato Soup for a whole different spin.

7. Thai Shrimp Gyoza, $4.99 for 12 ounces

Every single time I buy these, I get home and immediately cook the entire bag. They’re light, flavorful, and so poppable. I like to pair them with TJ’s Sweet Chili Sauce for the perfect combo.

8. Mac ’n Cheese, $2.99 for 14 ounces

Whether you’re eating it as an entire meal or a side dish, this four-cheese classic is a freezer must-have. There are a bunch of other macs, but this one gets my vote!

9. Roasted Corn, $2.49 for 16 ounces

I know what you’re thinking: This isn’t a meal. But whenever I get my hands on this bag of corn, I add mayonnaise, lime juice, cilantro, and Everything But The Elote seasoning and pair it with some tortilla chips and we’re in business. It’s totally dinner. I also love to add it to salsa, soups, and stews. Are you seeing why it’s a staple now? The possibilities!

10. Cauliflower Gnocchi, $2.79 for 12 ounces

What is a frozen food list at Trader Joe’s without Cauliflower Gnocchi on it? There’s a reason it sells out pretty much the second it hits shelves — there are so many ways to make it.
