10 Brand-New Trader Joe’s Items That Just Hit Stores

I’d wager a guess that I visit Trader Joe’s far more than the average person. (It helps that I live within walking distance to my local store, not to mention the fact that I’m the Groceries Editor at Kitchn, so grocery shopping is kind of my job.) Even though I frequent TJ’s aisles at least once a week, I still have yet to even scratch the surface when it comes to sampling everything that the store has to offer.

While I have my tried-and-true favorites that I buy pretty much every trip, the pace with which Trader Joe’s launches new items is far too quick to keep up with. To attempt to stay up to date, I follow an aggressive amount of Trader Joe’s fan accounts on Instagram — so that I get word of brand-new items whenever they’re spotted on shelves across the country. (Side note: These Instagrammers have some serious eagle eyes.)

1. Vegan Ranch Crunch Salad Kit

Anyone who knows me knows that I have very strong salad kit opinions — and Trader Joe’s salad kits have my heart. This cruciferous mix includes green cabbage, kale, red cabbage, romaine lettuce, crispy onion, roasted sunflower kernels, and carrots, plus a vegan ranch dressing. What’s not to like?

Pair these Thai Wheat Noodles with TJ’s Thai Green Curry Simmer Sauce for a super-easy dinner. The best part is that they’re ready to heat and serve.

3. Almond Butter Filled Pretzel Nuggets

I’m already a fan of Trader Joe’s Peanut Butter Filled Pretzel Nuggets, so you better believe I’m trying the almond butter version as soon as I get my hands on a bag. My friend, @traderjoesampleking, gave these an 8/10.

These dill pickle-flavored potato chips have already won me over and I haven’t even tasted them yet. Bring on these briny babies!

I agree wholeheartedly with @traderjoeslist in hoping that these Crispy Onion Chips truly taste like Funyuns. I’d sprinkle a handful of these on top of mac and cheese. And how good would they taste wedged inside a sandwich?

6. Vegan Bolognese Style Pasta Sauce

Trader Joe’s has a literal wall of jarred pasta sauce with more than a dozen different variations, but would you look at that? They just launched another one. I’m curious how this vegan Bolognese made with plant-based crumbles tastes! (Will report back.)

I’m not vegan by any stretch of the imagination, but I’m loving all of the new vegan options at TJ’s lately! This Vegan Caramelized Onion Dip just shot up to the top of my list. I’m picturing this dip paired with the Crispy Onion Chips (see #5) for some onion inception.

8. Ajika Georgian Seasoning Blend

The spice and seasoning blend aisle at Trader Joe’s is a sight to behold. I’m going to pick up this new Ajika Georgian Seasoning Blend along with a jar of Cuban-Style Citrus Seasoning and a jar of Za’atar (both which came out in the past few months).

9. Sweet Pull Apart Aloha Rolls

I have my guesses as to what brand of rolls these Sweet Pull Apart Aloha Rolls are a dupe for … and I bet they’re just as delicious. Think of all the slider possibilities!

10. Almond Flour Tortillas

These Almond Flour Tortillas are gluten-free, come six to a pack, and are about to be my latest breakfast taco secret weapon.

Which of these new items are you most excited to try?
