Combining ‘the very best of each worlds’, the 2021 classic of GSM is made by mixing Threefold Fragrant Gin with Shiraz grapes from Adelaide Hills, in addition to Mourvèdre grapes from McLaren Vale.

The Australia-based distilling crew picked the grapes by hand, then macerated the grapes in Fragrant Gin to extract their ‘vibrant colors and wealthy tannins’.

The gin-soaked grapes have been then foot-stomped to extract the juice, which was used to dilute the gin and add ‘sweetness and intense flavour’.

Co-distiller Aidan Shaw mentioned: “All of us love wine-based gins. We expect it’s a extremely cool means that we will tie in what we do as distillers to a different a part of the business that’s so profound right here in South Australia.

“Most distillers work with straight Shiraz so we wished to create one thing distinctive for our first launch, therefore the inclusion of Mourvèdre so as to add one other layer of complexity.”

The GSM bottling is alleged to have an ‘underlying profile of citrus and juniper’. Macerating with grape skins is alleged to have resulted in a ‘viscous mouthfeel’, whereas the end is described as having a ‘peppery spice’ on prime of bitter cherries and blackberries.

GSM is advisable to be served with tonic or bitter lemon soda, and is ready to be launched on 24 Might.

With a 37.8% ABV, the gin shall be accessible at an RRP of AU$80 (US$62) for a 500ml bottle. Solely 500 bottles shall be accessible on-line.
