The Tomorrow War: Chris Pratt’s latest unveils new release date & new images

Prime Video has unveiled the new release date and first-look images for the upcoming military science fiction action film, THE TOMORROW WAR. Starring Chris Pratt, new details on the project emerge a day ahead of its first trailer which is expected to drop tomorrow.

The Tomorrow War is set in the near future and focuses on humanity’s war against an alien invasion. The hope is to win the battle by using scientists’ new ability to draft soldiers from the past to fight in the war. Directed by Chris McKay, in his live-action directorial debut, the film also stars Yvonne Strahovski, Betty Gilpin, Keith Powers, Mike Mitchell, Sam Richardson, and J.K. Simmons. The Tomorrow War was originally scheduled for release on December 25, 2020, but it was pulled from the schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film was later rescheduled for July 23, 2021, taking the release date of Mission: Impossible 7, but it was pulled from the schedule once again. In January of this year, Amazon Studios entered talks to acquire the film for a reported $200 million. The deal was solidified when Amazon announced that the film will now hit Prime Video on July 2, 2021.
