Below PMSBY there are 10,26,45,751 girls beneficiaries and below PMJJBY there are 3,42,40,254 beneficiaries, he added.

As many as 1,60,925 girls had been paid claims amounting to Rs 3,218.5 crore below PMJJBY as of October 27, 2021, he mentioned. Whereas, claims value Rs 294.93 crore had been paid to 14,818 girls beneficiaries below PMSBY.

PMJJBY affords life insurance coverage cowl of Rs 2 lakh, PMSBY affords unintended loss of life or complete everlasting incapacity cowl of Rs 2 lakh and everlasting partial incapacity cowl of Rs 1 lakh.
