Legion supports federal standing committee on Status of Women recommendations Report highlights actions to deal with military sexual misconduct

OTTAWA, June 18, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The Royal Canadian Legion endorses suggestions in a new report by the Home of Commons Standing Committee on the Standing of Ladies (FEWO), which handled sexual misconduct within the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).

“We absolutely help the suggestions on this doc,” says Thomas D. Irvine, CD, Dominion President. “Sadly, experiences of sexual misconduct throughout the army are neither new nor uncommon and these suggestions must be applied now.”

The newest FEWO suggestions concentrate on what should be carried out to supply a secure and inclusive CAF office so that ladies’s and males’s contributions are valued equally.
