A worker at the Holiday Inn Express had a violent meltdown, when confronted by an African American hotel guest about his mistake. And video showing the man violently reacting has gone viral, MTO News has learned.
Video of the hotel employee’s violent breakdown towards the African American customer has caused a stir on social media. The hotel guest is seen in the video challenging the hotel worker about an error, and the worker flies into a rage. The Holiday Inn Express employee punches himself in the face – an damages the computer into his head.
He then walks away – after realizing that he incident was captured on video, and says, “You destroyed my life.”
Some are questioning whether the hotel employee’s meltdown could have been related to racism, Others, however, are claiming that the hotel worker suffered from mental illness – and the episode was unrelated to race.

A man claiming to be the hotel worker responded to the video – in the comments. And that alleged response has gone viral also.
The commenter claimed that he suffers from mental illness – specifically bipolar disorder with schizophrenic tendencies. He claims that he told the customer that he has “mental illness and needed a moment to think.”
The man also claimed that the Black customer used a homophobic slur towards him. The video did not show the customer uttering any such word. MTO News was not able to independently confirm whether this comment came from the man in the video.
