Diana Ross’ Releasing New Album, ‘Thank You’

Diana Ross is releasing her first album in 15 years and dedicating it to her followers.

The legendary diva introduced her new album “Thank You” and launched the primary single of the identical title on Thursday (June 17). “Thank You,” which releases September 10, is Ross’ first album since 2006, and her first album of authentic materials in 22 years. In response to The Guardian, Ross recorded the album in her house studio through the coronavirus lockdown.

The “Thank You” single is a up to date R&B spin on a Ross’ traditional materials, with a refrain thanking her followers for the love they’ve given her through the years. Ross stated in a press release that the entire album shall be a present to her followers.

“This assortment of songs is my reward to you with appreciation and love,” she stated. “I’m eternally grateful that I had the chance to report this wonderful music right now. I dedicate this songbook of affection to all of you, the listeners. As you hear my voice you hear my coronary heart.”

In response to Vulture, Ross co-wrote all 13 songs on the album, working with songwriters and producers together with Tayla Parx (Ariana Grande, Anderson .Paak), Jack Antonoff (Taylor Swift, Lorde), Jimmy Napes (Mary J Blige, Alicia Keys, Sam Smith) and Spike Spent (Madonna, Björk).

The press launch for the album says it has “a strong, inclusive musical message of affection and togetherness” and that “with its songs of happiness, appreciation, and pleasure, it wholeheartedly acknowledges that we’re on this all collectively.”
