Barbados-based West Indies Rum Distillery (WIRD) has develop into the primary distillery within the Caribbean to obtain Bonsucro’s Chain of Custody (Choc) certification.

Bonsucro is a non-profit organisation that promotes sustainable sugarcane manufacturing, processing and commerce globally.

The certification means shoppers are assured that the sugarcane used to make WIRD rum is produced, sourced and traded responsibly.
