Jon Gruden has formally resigned his put up as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders after a sequence of emails leaked through which he repeatedly used homophobic and mysoginistic language.

Raiders proprietor Mark Davis accepted Gruden’s resignation on Monday evening.
