Situated in Sebastopol, California, the Ron Rubin vineyard is Licensed Sustainable and dedicated to producing broadly obtainable and pleasing wines at an affordable value. Right this moment we’re attempting two wines that we’ve tried before, an unoaked Chardonnay bottled underneath the Pam’s label and a Pinot Noir. Let’s see how the newer vintages get up.

2020 Pam’s Un-Oaked Chardonnay – Made with grapes sourced from Clarksburg and Lodi, this wine pours yellow gold within the glass. That is an unoaked Chardonnay, however some butter reveals up on the nostril together with apples and a contact of lemon. The palate is sort of solely golden scrumptious apples with low to medium acidity and a few sweetness. The result’s a light-weight bodied wine that tastes prefer it was made for individuals who don’t actually like wine and may choose consuming apple juice. C+ / $14

2018 Ron Rubin Pinot Noir Russian River Valley – Pouring garnet coloured within the glass, this wine has a nostril that reveals the stunning character of Pinot Noirs made with grapes from the Russian River Valley, together with black cherry and plum together with vanilla and a bit of nutmeg. The palate introduces daring black cherry adopted by cocoa. Mushy tannins make for a pleasant mouth really feel on this medium bodied wine, and apart from a fairly quick, tart end, it’s fairly pleasing. B+ / $25
