Irish whiskey continues its rise with the relaunch of Dubliner — or The Dubliner, if you happen to like — which slaps a brand new emblem and bottle design on its two everlasting expressions plus an ongoing “beer cask sequence” of particular editions. Dubliner Whiskey & Honeycomb – Previously bottled as “Dubliner Irish Whiskey with Liqueur and Caramel Coloration” (and actually that’s what our pattern bottle says), although that doesn’t actually roll off the tongue. Far much less candy than the everyday whiskey liqueur, this has a powerful present of hazelnuts, milk chocolate, and a touch of raspberry. Gently candy however by no means overly paying homage to honey, the liqueur is agreeable, although the nutty parts come to dominate over time, which can throw some drinkers off. 60 proof. B+ / $30
