Bacardi-owned Patrón Tequila has confirmed it should discontinue its coffee-flavoured liqueur, XO Cafe.
The choice has been made to allow the Tequila model to deal with producing its core variants: Patrón Silver, Patrón Reposado, Patrón Añejo and different super-premium and ultra-premium expressions.
Bottled at 35% ABV, Patrón XO Cafe mixed Patrón Tequila with the essence of Arabica espresso. It was designed to be sipped neat, loved as a dessert ingredient or blended in cocktails.

In the meantime, in early October Patrón launched a limited edition añejo Tequila aged in Sherry casks.
