English producer The Lakes Distillery has added to its Whiskymaker’s Editions line with a crimson wine-influenced single malt.
Following the discharge of its Recuerdo whisky earlier this month, The Lakes Distillery has launched a single malt referred to as Sequoia.
The expression is impressed by northern California’s wine nation, notably the flavours of crimson wine, and was made utilizing a ‘various mixture of cask sorts’.
On the nostril and palate, redcurrants are mentioned to present method to notes of spiced chocolate, crimson grapes and dried fruits, together with butterscotch, fig and cinnamon.
The Sequoia bottling joins the Whiskymaker’s Editions assortment, created by Lakes whiskymaker Dhavall Gandhi. The vary includes Colheita, a whisky matured in Port and the primary expression within the vary; Le Goûter, a patisserie-inspired single malt; Bal Masque, matured in French oak casks; Miramar, a ‘fruity and vigorous’ liquid; and Recuerdo, a bottling aged in ex-Sherry casks.
