How The Great Inspired Elle Fanning’s Old Hollywood Emmys 2022 Look

Elle Fanning is taking a notice from previous Hollywood for the 2022 Emmys.

The actress shared the inspiration behind her retro look with Reside From E!‘s Laverne Cox Sept. 12, revealing that she known as on The Great costume designer Sharon Long and seamstress Catherine Shaw to craft her purple carpet ensemble. “I’ve all the time been impressed by the glamour of the ’50s, particularly when costume designers would design actresses robes,” Elle shared whereas talking to Laverne on the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, Calif. “It is so particular and you’ll see these clothes are made with love.”

The Emmy-nominee continued, “As soon as I received nominated, I assumed, ‘would not it’s superb if she designed my costume?'”

Sharon and Catherine have been more than pleased to oblige Elle’s request and labored after-hours to hand-make the customized pink and black ensemble. Elle could not be happier with the best way it turned out, including, “I wished to pay homage to the creatives on our present, as a result of the world that is created in The Nice, the best way it appears to be like is so vital.”
