Former Dallas Cowboys Player Gavin Escobar Dead at 31 After Rock-Climbing Accident

The Dallas Cowboys are mourning a former crew member.

Gavin Escobar was considered one of two victims killed in a rock-climbing accident close to the Tahquitz Peak Fireplace Lookout in Southern California on Sept. 28. He was 31.

In response to the Los Angeles Times, after being alerted by witnesses, authorities carried out a search and rescue operation. In a press release on Twitter, the Cal Fireplace and Riverside County Fireplace Division confirmed that Escobar and the opposite sufferer—who has been recognized by authorities as 33-year-old Chelsea Walsh—had each “perished on the scene.”
