CIL inks Rs 1,462 crore pact with Russian shovel manufacturer

PSU miner Coal India (CIL) has entered right into a contract with Iz-Kartex, named after P G Korbokov, a Russian shovel manufacturing firm, for set up and commissioning of 11 electrical rope shovels valued at Rs 1,462 crore. The Russian shovel producer bagged the bid by means of participation in world tender involving reverse public sale. Every rope shovels are 20 cubic metres in dimension.
