When Kamala Harris reclaimed her time during the 2020 Vice Presidential debate with the now-iconic phrase, “I’m speaking,” it struck a deep chord with women all around the world. So it was only natural that this sound byte went on to inspire thousands of memes, t-shirts, posters, and even mugs. The only missed opportunity (until now)? Kitchen towels! Thankfully, Madam Vice President’s niece, Meena Harris, has stepped in and given us all a reason to proudly flaunt our kitchen towels at anyone who decides to interrupt us when we’re cooking (especially with unwanted suggestions). Introducing the witty “I’m Cooking” towels that Meena designed in collaboration with Great Jones, one of our favorite direct-to-consumer kitchenware brands.

Priced at $40, the set of two kitchen towels is part of the brand’s limited-edition Party Towel series. Teaming up with Meena was a no-brainer for Great Jones given her impressive background of being a lawyer, author, mother of two, and the founder and CEO of Phenomenal. As for the empowering phrase, it was chosen as a way to remind all home chefs of their power both in and out of the kitchen.

Since the towels are made from organic cotton, they’re incredibly durable and designed to withstand the rigors of daily chores. Measuring 19.5 inches wide and 30 inches tall, they’re large enough to cover your freshly baked loaf of bread, grip a piping hot handle, or drape over your oven door handle.

As for the bright pops of colors, they’re inspired by the glazes that grace The Dutchess (we spot Blueberry, Broccoli, Mustard, Marinara, and Salt). The main backdrop for both tea towels is Taffy, the soft pink shade that was recently relaunched just in time for Mother’s Day. Go ahead and match a Taffy Dutch oven with the towels, or get creative and pick any of the other fun colors. Or, if you’re on a budget, just snag the limited-edition towels. It’s the kind of gift that mom, or any other formidable female figure in your life, will especially appreciate the next time someone offers some unsolicited (and unwelcome!) advice in the kitchen.
