Legendary rapper DMX passed away yesterday, but he made sure to leave plenty of seeds before he left. The rap legend had a tattoo on his neck of Exodus 1:7. saying, “Be fruitful and multiply and your children will inherit the world.”
DMX is believed to have fathered at least 17 children. The rapper publicly acknowledged 15 of those children. The last two – twin 1 year old boys – were birthed by a Philadelphia woman who many online are labeling his “side chick.”
DMX was married to his ex-wife Tashera Simmons for 14 years, and they shared four children. The other thirteen kids are from 10 different relationships throughout his life. MTO News did a breakdown of the family tree.
Exodus
DMX son Exodus Simmons was born in 2016, and it was the rapper’s first child with his fiance, Desiree Lindstrom. Desiree announced the birth of their child on her Facebook page saying, “I am so in love with his little feet thank u God.”
He’ll be 5 this year.
Aaliyah
DMX introduced the world to his daughter Aaliyah on BET’s 106 & Park. He told fans that he named his daughter after the late Aaliyah Houghton, who tragically passed away in a plane crash in 2001.
“This is my own personal, special tribute to Aaliyah,” the rapper said before presenting his little bundle of joy. Aaliyah is now 10 years old. DMX never disclosed who her mother is.

Xavier
DMX was married to Tashera Simmons between 1999 to 2014. They had four kids together, with the oldest being Xavier , 28. Xavier is currently an actor, author, and screenwriter – he wrote a book called Perils & Promise.
Tacoma
DMX and Tashera have a 20 year old son named Tacoma Simmons. Tacoma claims on his Instagram that he’s a musical composer. In 2019, his mother posted a picture of him on her Instagram page to wish him well as he left off for college.
Sean
DMX and Tashera also have an 18 year old son Sean. On his IG profile pic – Sean describes himself as a football player. Although he doesn’t live his life in the spotlight, his mother has shared pictures of him on Instagram.
Praise Mary Ella
The youngest of Tashera and DMX’s children is Praise Mary Ella Simmons. She is a 15-year old. Tashera shared pictures of her on Instagram in 2019.
Sonovah Junior
DMX also has a daughter Sonovah Junior. She’s a pre-teen who seems to be already following in her dad’s footsteps by dabbling into music. A few weeks ago, DMX shared a post to his Instagram promoting his daughter’s song, “I Hate Zoom.”
Other Children
Tashera confirmed that DMX fathered six children outside of their marriage, in an interview with Essence magazine. Not much is known about the other kids,
But we do know that DMX had one child by a woman named Monique Wayne. Billboard reported that she gave birth to a baby boy in April 2004, and DNA tests proved that DMX was the father. Years later, DMX claimed that Monique “raped him” while he slept. She successfully sued him for $1.5 million in a defamation lawsuit.
DMX also has two children by model Yadira Borrego. According to The Sun, Yadira had an on-again-off-again relationship with the “Party Up” rapper for years. She occasionally shares pictures of their adorable children on her Instagram page.
Twin Boys from Alleged Philly Side Chick
DMX’s children number 16 and 17 are twin boys. MTO News reported HERE that a woman with two twin boys was allegedly prevented from visiting DMX at the hospital in his last days.
